This week the Arte Útil Archive will travel to Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid. During the symposium ‘The new abduction of Europe‘  a selection case studies will be discussed in the frame of five different workshops. The strategies analysed in the Museum of Arte Útil will be used as starting point to reflect upon different issues.

The aim of the event is not to be a brief flash of light in the darkness but to break down the divisions between public debate and collective action, opening up a replicable process in other cities and regions across Europe, and offering a strategic, programmatic repertoire for the European emancipatory movements in order to build a common process.

The opening session on 27th February will be streamed live at 6:30 p.m. at Van Abbemuseum/Museum of Arte Útil (Room of Controversies). Free entrance.
