The collective Wooloo conceived this project during the United Nations Climate Summit in Copenhagen. The idea was born out of the lack of accommodation and efficient hotels for the activists gathered around the summit. Since 2011 the project has seen artists, architects, and urban planners living with a variety of neighbourhood residents in 100 different ‘hotel rooms’. This model informs visitors about techniques for restructuring the neighbourhood with first-hand local
knowledge and a human perspective.
To create the possibility to share homes and experiences with strangers.
Free housing for over 3 000 climate activists coming to Copenhagen from over 100 countries.
