Description:

Teddy Cruz and David Deutsch created this project which is an unconventional redevelopment plan, the goal of which is to reintegrate into the everyday life of the city of Hudson, poor, immigrants and dispossessed people. Starting with some workshops conducted with immigrants and the elderly, the project has expanded to include communal gardens, playgrounds, an amphitheater and other places in the city – spaces to be used for art or for job-training. The project also includes the creation of a residential mixed-use housing complex, around a series of public zones.

Goals:

To use the architectural model in order to create a series of subtle but unexpected connections between east and west, poor and privileged.

Beneficial Outcomes:

To use the [architectural model] in order to create a series of subtle but unexpected connections between east and west, poor and privileged.
