Hamdallaye Project

Description:

The project is based on workshops lasting one or two weeks, which aim to bring together local and international artists. The goal is to improve the residents' basic skills and turn them into professional skills (i.e under-glass painting, ceramics, batik dyeing, carving, weaving, embroidery). Through the dialogue of Hamdallaye residents, they have decided to focus on specific kinds of skills, which must be based on criteria of accessibility, reduced costs and sustainability.

Goals:

To improve basic skills for the local community through a dialogue with artists form around the world.

Beneficial Outcomes:

The participants improve their skills and creativity in an useful way.
